Karen Kingsbury was my first must have! I love all of her books and have reread many of them over the years. Although, I'd have to say that her Baxter family series is my ultimate favorite of hers.

As a child, the Boxcar Kids! I remember my parents reading to me, and then helping me to read, and then reading on my own.
As an adult, everything by Evanovich.

Agatha Christie. Sleeping Murder was my favourite and there was one, where a child called Josephine was the killer.
Does anyone remember what this one was called

I believe Dan Brown was the first author that I read everything by. I tried to do the same with J.K. Rowling because I loved her Harry Potter series, but I just could not get through Casual Vacancy. I tried, I really did.

The Babysitters Club Series. Now as an adult I devour anything by Kate Danley, she is definitely my kind of writer! Maggie Mackay: Magical Tracker Series is amazing!

When I was 5, I started reading books written by Enid Blyton. I had to read every book and every series of hers. I think I own over 200 books written by her. This craze didn't stop until I was 10.

I was also pretty much obsessed with the Warrior books when I was in elementary school, and still have some of the books lying around the house for me to read. However, my first author obsession was probably J.K Rowling's Harry Potter series, I instantly fell in love and now that the books are done, I still even read the mini stories she write on Pottermore! :D

Some of the first books I read were the collected works on J.R.R. Tolkien. My parents introduced me to the Hobbit when I was a little over ten years old and I was immediately hooked. After that I moved onto the Lord of the Rings and then went on to read the Silmarillion and the Children of Hurin. Next, I moved onto the Book of Lost Tales volumes 1 and 2. Then I picked up the books Morgoth's Ring and The Adventures of Tom Bombadil. And most recently I finished both The Road Goes Ever On and Bilbo's Last Song. Every one of these books have brought me to the land of Middle-Earth and with every one I finished reading expanded that world inside my imagination. I don't know how long it will take me to read "everything" by Tolkien but I find that I am quite looking forward to whatever story comes next in my search of all things Tolkien.

As a young girl my parents always took us on weekly trips to the library...but the first book I read outside of children's books was flowers in the attic by VC Andrews. After that series I collected everything by her.

The Romanian (French naturalized) philosopher Emil Cioran. I was in high school, motivated by love and academic bravado when I read every book he ever published. Three times! I concluded that there is nothing behind his despair, that his depression is just a form of laziness.
