Writing at home and while traveling

I am writing a novel and although I find it easier to write t home I have alot of the story I think of while traveling also and I am wondering if anyone has recommendations on driving and writing in between getting to destinations.

I say go for it. If your plots involve the area that you're in, you can add landscape details into the book for authenticity. Even the emotions you go through while travelling can be worked in :) If you don't have time to sit down for an hour or so, then maybe keep a notebook to jot any random ideas or outlines that come to mind while on the road?

While driving, if I ever have an idea for a story I'm working on or something else. I will usually use the google talk to text to make an S Note for it so I can go back and write it down later.

This summer I spent 3 weeks in the Philippines. I wrote while travelling between cities or while at different destinations. During one week of the trip we were in a village with no electricity, so I started writing using pen and notebook. I found this to be more fun or at least a novel way of doing things. I continue to use the notebook while on the subway on the way to work in the morning. I get far more writing done this way since I have a set time during each day I'm free to indulge my hobby.
