It can be overwhelming at first, but don't worry. It'll become easier and you'll have so much fun! Welcome to OBC! :D
Do you have a specific question in mind?

If you want a chilling book that makes your skin crawl and has evil attached to it, I recommend Aberrancy by Su Halfwerk, 4/4 star rating (link to review is down below!).

Hello @Rob625, there is this thread Addicted to Zombie books! that someone started. You could comment on it and that'll bring the topic up towards the top of the forums. This way it'll be more apt to attract other people and hopefully it'll do what you would like it to do! :)

I just finished Stephen King's "The Bazaar of Bad Dreams". I really enjoyed this short story collection. Especially since Stephen King also had a short discussion on where the idea came from or his reasoning for the story. I have not always enjoyed Stephen King's short stories and have been more a fan of his full length novels but if you are looking for quicker Stephen King stories, I recommend this book.

The Good Girl. It starts off a bit slow, but it is a very odd and interesting novel and the mindset of the main character causes the reader to continue reading the story with awe, because of how dynamic she is.

The dead house by Dawn Kurtagich. It is extremely creepy and yet incredibly addictive. I was reading it at 4am on my own and I was too unsettled to go upstairs. I had to do that ape run to my bedroom - which I haven't done in a long time.

I think I saw this book and wanted to read it!! That's funny.. I still get that way if I've watched a scary movie.. But have yet to have a book freak me out that much.. I think I'll take a second look at that book! Thanks for reminding me! ?

Lee Child's series with Jack Reacher get better with each book. I did read then out of sequence and they are fine as stand alone books but when I read an earlier book it made everything come together. I enjoy the series, don't recommend the movie.

I would recommend the Horrorscape series by Nenia Campbell (Fearscape, Horrorscape, Terrorscape). This series was an amazing read and had me on edge the entire time. The books are about a girl who is being stalked by someone at her school, who is controlling, manipulating, and dangerous. Over the course of the books, the danger increases to violence and death. Fans of horror and thrillers will enjoy this series!

For Mystery and crime fiction, I would recommend all Mary Higgins Clark books, Kate Dyer-Seeley's Pacific Northwest Series, Mary Jane Clark's book To Have and To Kill by Mary Jane Clark. And for Horror, I would recommend John Harwood's Ghost Writer.

A crime/mafia book that I really fell in love with is the Ruthless People series by J.J. McAvoy. This series is about two mafia families coming together by an arranged marriage between Liam Callahan (Irish mafia son) and Melody Giovanni (Italian maffia daughter). Over the course of the books, Liam and Melody learn how to overcome their hate for each other and how to become the deadliest couple in the world. It is one that I constantly cheered for the mafia instead of the law because the characters are that amazing. This series has crime, death, romance, and thrills!

I've been on a kick reading paranormal/supernatural cozy mysteries. If you like that subgenre, you should check out Dawn Eastman, Heather Blake, and Tonya Kappes.

I recommend "The girl who loved Ton Gordon" by stephen king. The story is about a girl who gets lost in the forest and has to fight against hunger, thirst and her mind.

The Reacher books are better as a series. Each book can stand alone but as a whole they all become much better.
I started the Lee child books out of order and liked them so reread in the correct order again. The last one I read was 61 hours, not sure if there's another after that one.
