Hey, Tip, how did the pierogi go? Did you make them?Tip the Bottle wrote:I love to cook. Today I'm making chicken soup, a specialty of mine if you will. I think I can cook anything as long as there is a recipe or I know the taste. I think next week I'm going to attempt pierogi I hear it's a somewhat difficult task but if I can pull it off I'm looking at a new Christmas Eve dish to bring to the party and I have over 300 days to perfect it.
So how about you, do you like to cook? What are some of your favorite dishes?

Not yet, every time I think I have the time to make them something comes up and like you said they are a time intensive food.GotThatSwing wrote:Hey, Tip, how did the pierogi go? Would you believe I only discovered cupcakes recently (yea I've led a sheltered life). Must say I was very disappointed after all the talk and hype they really are only the good old queen cake with delusions of grandeur.Tralala wrote:I'm baking cupcakes. And I always get those little cupcake liner thingies, and I always have some left over when I'm done, and I always save them. And I can never find them when I want to make cupcakes again. Where do they go? Why do they want to hide from me? Are they going to attack when I least expect it? Does this have something to do with the fact that I try not to use the pink ones?
Yeah, I've gotta get to bed.
I thought I was going to be introduced to some original taste.

One of my coworkers made red velvet cupcakes that were to die for!! That was an original taste... maybe you can find some of those and give them a try!!Fran wrote:Would you believe I only discovered cupcakes recently (yea I've led a sheltered life). Cup cakes without all the silly colored icing & fiddly bits ... they've been around since the time of Mrs Beaton & probably long before. Only difference is they are somewhat more substantial & always a feature of the old fashioned 'English Tea'. YummmyTip the Bottle wrote:Fran wrote:[

Cupcakes are easy, and encourage originality. I've got a bag full of colored sugars, tubes of gel icing, various decorations. Has anyone seen the ads for the GIANT cupcake pan dealie? I never did get the hang of red velvet cake. But the first time I tried it, it was in the form of an armadillo. That's not just in the movies... Southern folks eat chitlins and 'possum, though, so I guess bleedin' armadillo cake isn't too strange.
