Definitely Ray Bradbury. Fahrenheit 451 is still one of my favorite books.

That was definitely Stephenie Meyers. I also enjoyed Nicholas Sparks a lot as well. Later in my high school years, I started getting more into Christian Fiction romance novels, and I have been hooked on those ever since.

I was in highschool ages ago. During those days, romance novels, especially the Mills and Boon (M&B) romances, were the rage. My favorite M&B authors were Janet Dailey, Lillian Peake and Roberta Leigh. I know Janet Dailey still writes to this day but I've lost track of Lillian and Roberta.

Anybody out there who remembers M&B?

It's interesting how many people have V C Andrews as a favourite (also one of mine). There must be something about her writing that really appeals to teenagers

I also really liked reading Christopher Pike (our school had a whole collection of his books). I was also introduced to Darren Shan through my school library.

VC Andrews died in 1986. Many books are still being published under her name, but these are written by someone else under authority by the Andrews family. Seems we cannot get enough of the Andrews magic that started mesmerizing us with Flowers in the Attic.

I used to be a huge fan of mystery novels back then, so my favourite author was Agatha Christie. The way she could set up the mystery for the grand reveal was marvellous.
