I also love this idea! Wow, to be able to travel in any book that you pick would be amazing!! I want this ability too, please!kandscreeley wrote:I love that! I would love to be able to open a book and chat with the characters and see the scenes! Fabulous idea! I'll take that super power please!Amagine wrote:Alex has a super ability to travel through the internet and computers.
If you could possess a super ability, what would it be? What would you do with your ability?
If it were me, I would want the ability to travel inside any book that I open. I would just use the ability to hang out and chat with all of my favorite characters!
With one slight change - it wouldn't be every book I pick up (some be scary, dangerous, and depressing - i.e. WWII time). I would say that if I had this ability, then I can pick and choose what book I would want to dive into.

You would really enjoy The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde, assuming you haven't already read it, of course.Amagine wrote:Alex has a super ability to travel through the internet and computers.

This is exactly what I had in mind! It's so cool to see everyone around you moving in slow motion because you are that fast! I think this could also extend to super speed reading. Imagine all the books you can read in a day.Natalie Charlene wrote:I actually just had this discussion this morning! After much consideration, I have decided that I would want to have super speed--basically The Flash's powers. With the increased speed comes faster healing, and just think how much money I could save never needing to buy gas, or heck, even a car! I could just run everywhere. And he has the ability to read extremely fast, too. I could get through a library in a day!
