Stephen King is my favorite author because he can write about any genre and make the story and the characters relatable and real.

My favorite author is Nora Roberts. I really enjoy how she has different types of romance novels from witches to wedding planners.

I'm really into Johnathan Kellerman lately. His books are always good, but I'm especially loving his Golem books: Golem of Hollywood, and Golem of Paris. They meld a modern detective story with magical realism and rich biblical fiction

My quarter century as a school librarian has brought so many phenomenal writers to my attention. A few stand out: Eva Ibbotson, Cornelia Funke, David A. Adler, and more. These authors have penned unforgettable stories for kids from first graders to teens (and some nonfiction works as well from the latter).

Gosh, that is so hard to ask considering I've read so many books. I would have to say my favorite author is Stephen King because not only did he write one good book, but he consistently writes so many good books.

J.K. Rowling!!!!!

She'll always be my favourite author. I'm one of those Potterheads who grew with the book, I was 10 when I first read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I know my owl won't be coming by anymore but I still hope to hop into the Hogwarts Express some day or other!!!!

Sarah J. Maas, I love her Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses series. I am always absorbed be her writing, despite her books being much longer than ones I normally read.

My favourite author is Paul Coelho. I loved his book Eleven Minutes. The book helped me understand the struggles that women go through and sacrifices they have to make in order to achieve their dreams.

My favorite author is Francine Rivers. She really develops the characters and makes you feel like you are a part of the story. I love how she makes me think about her books even days after I've finished reading them. When I finished reading the Mark of the Lion series I almost didn't know what to do with myself I was so disappointed it was over.

My first favorite was probably Carolyn Keene. I was in fourth grade the first time I read a whole book in a day. It was a Nancy Drew, though I don't remember which one. The Scarlett Slipper Mystery was one that I read and reread.

Mysteries have been my genre of choice most of my life, switching gears now and then for self-help, how to, spiritual and inspirational, romance, children's.

T. Jefferson Parker for many years. He often wrote about areas in Southern California that I was familiar with, and I loved almost everything he wrote, especially Laguna Heat, Little Saigon, and Pacific Beat.

I wish I had a particular favorite these days. I don't read as much as I used to. I am always looking for that special author who can make me drag out finishing a book because the characters have become so much a part of my life.

One of my very favorites, as an adult, is Robyn Carr. About 25 years ago, I reviewed her book Mind Tryst. I interviewed her and she was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She was supportive of me being a beginning writer and gave me confidence to continue. Not too long ago, I emailed her to thank her and let her know how much her kindness had helped me. She responded back quickly and had the same sweetness about her that I remembered.

I'm not sure that I could name just one person. I love so many many books, but Sherrilyn Kenyon is in my top 5. I know its romance but I'm hardcore like that all the way. I have never read a book of hers, finished and felt let down after. Her characters are well rounded and thought out. Some of my favorites would be: Ash(of course), Wren, Vane and Bride, ooh and Simi. These are all from her Dark Hunter series. If you haven't read any check them out!

My favorite author has got to be S. E. Hinton. She is the writer of The Outsiders, which was made into a movie in the early 80s. A lot of her books deal with issues that are alive and well but never talked about. Her books all have a sort of greaser vibe from the 50s with a modern view of the world. What I loved most about her books were the fact that they discussed growing up. As I read Hinton's books growing up, I felt as though they had opened my eyes to values that I had never considered.

I also really enjoy Anne Rice. She just has a way with the supernatural that makes me want to read everything she has ever written in one evening.

When I was younger, my favorite author was probably VC Andrews (not the ghost writer of today, the author of disturbing book I read as a teenager for some reason).
Nowadays I read various authors and genres, but always return to Stephen King (including when he wrote under Richard Bachman) and Dan Brown.
