The battle between good and evil in an environment of faith, demons and supernatural entities is one we can all relate to. Sometimes like the characters we make decision where we are right wrong. As they say one who fights evil must be careful not to turn into the very thing he is trying to fight. Loved your detailed review

Sounds as if this novel has some interesting characters and provides fascinating insights into their dilemmas. It's good to know that it's not a simple matter of good versus evil, but that there is some variation on that theme.
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

This was really a good read. I loved the energy between the two main characters. I do however wish that the same energy could have been put into the world and the interactions they have with the characters that they meet on the road.

This was a great review though and I would also recommend others to read the book.

Thanks for the revealing review. I appreciate your openness in 'feeling stumped' at the purely platonic relationship between Abigail and Haatim. We're all so used to seeing that in the lead characters and I'm pretty sure I'd have felt the same way at the change. I'm not a lover of horror though, so I'll most likely pass this up. Glad you enjoyed the book!

I thought the book would be more about Arthur/the Reverend than any other character... Great review, btw, I like the horror and the mystery, and the power and danger radiating from the Reverend.

great review. I would like to explore more the role of Abigail as she is the main character in the book.i would also like to know the way She managed to rescue Haatim Arison upon discovering that he has a family legacy in the supernatural that he knows nothing about. After discovering this will Haatim still going to value his people? lets read and see.

I only occasionally read horror novels, I’m quite picky about that genre, it can’t be just about being violent or scary, there needs to be a deeper story, and from your review it sounds like this book delivers. The premise is fascinating, and I too found the prologue very well written. You review encourages me to go ahead and read it!

I really enjoyed reading your review, but I don't think I would enjoy the book. I am not a big fan of supernatural fiction. Thanks :)
