Yeah, they usually doBoyLazy wrote:I believe series books often have such endings..Atabon Della wrote:In fact i was displeased with the ending but was comforted to know that it's a series and so subsequent parts will soon be released though I would have loved to finish the story in one reading.

I'm starting to agree with this too. I'm in two minds about the ending. Definitely think after reflecting on it there is a reason for everything.Kat Berg wrote:I felt the same way. It was a natural place to end the story, and even if there wasn't a sequel, sometimes being able to write your own ending, how you want things to come together, is a powerful authorial tool.Miriam Molina wrote:Now that we know there's at least a part two, we are appeased with the ending. Personally, I was happy with the ending, sequel or no sequel. Perhaps I'm too old and have gone through a lot in life, so I'm more accepting of "unfinished" stories.

definitely and that is why am ready to read its sequelmeteku4 wrote:Yeah, you guys may be right. It could also be his own way of beginning the second part of the book.Amagine wrote:That could be the case. He wanted to end in suspense.jonaya wrote:well one would say the book has ended in tragedy, whereby every reader has to think of what happened next.the writer of this book did that deliberately to give more room for broading our minds

Exactly! That should give us a better ending in my opinion.jonaya wrote:definitely and that is why am ready to read its sequelmeteku4 wrote:Yeah, you guys may be right. It could also be his own way of beginning the second part of the book.Amagine wrote:

Sure! I felt the same. The sequel is very much needed!krisengel wrote:It was so abrupt! I finished the last page and thought, "You've got to be kidding me!" I hated the ending until I learned there will be at least two more books. I can rest easy knowing the story will continue, I just have to be patient.

Cliff-hangers are bothersome but I will likely read the sequel. I wanted more at the ending as well.meteku4 wrote:I was hoping to come to various conclusions at the end of the book, but most of the issues seemed unresolved. For example, how was the violent clash between Buckhorn employees and Sarah's supposed family resolved. I think the story ended too sudden. What do you think?

I agree with your observation!Arushi Singh wrote:I agree with this. The ending was certainly a bit too abrupt. It kind of made it a little disappointing because the book is beautiful in every other way.

I, too, had the same difficulties.K_Robinson wrote:I understand that there will be a sequel, but I felt like the entire book was drawn out and full of description except for the ending. I feel as if the author spent so much time on the rest of the book and the ending was just thrown together. It felt,to me, super rushed and ended abruptly. I literally said out loud "That's it?!" when I finished the last page.
