This must be an inspiring novel, with a great plot. Nevertheless, am not a diehard fan of dragons.

I'm no longer into books of this genre, but it sounds JUST like something I would have read, once-upon-a-time. Too bad about all the characters, especially with the similar names; I too find that to be a little irritating, but I'm glad it didn't totally ruin the book for you.

The story seems really interesting. It's a shame that the female characters were not fully developed. The grammatical mistakes can be a put-off as well. Nevertheless, I would still give this book a try. Thank you for your review!

Thank you for the review. Sci-fi is not my forte; one reason is an aspect that you mentioned- the names being very similar. However, since it seems to be male-centric (the coming of age aspect), it might be a good read for a young man.

Your issues are very valid and important, also, 800 pages? Jeez, now I'm afraid to even venture. Thanks for the review.

This Linda like a very interesting read. Although this type of fantasy book is normally what I would go for, I have had trouble in the past with keeping track of too many characters. I’ll add this book to my reading list! Thank you.

It does sound like an intriguing plot in a well-built world, but it's a shame when authors miss the chance to have some strong female characters in a fantasy.
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

Wow! Eight hundred pages of a testosterone filled fantasy novel. Definitely, not my cup of tea. Very thorough review, which is helpful and insightful. Thank you.
