On the east coast we usually call Coors "Piss in a Can", god awful brew.

No offense Mike, but personally ALL beer is "just beer" to me. I hate the stuff. Although, if I ever do make it to Ireland I will have a pint of Guinness, just because it wouldn't be right not to............ But, I would have nice shot of wiskey ready for a chaser, just in case. :D

EDIT: I agree with Tip there. Coors is the nastiest stuff I have ever tasted. Ick.........

Oh, and on the subject of Obama, I'm glad he's doing something good for somebody's country. Looks like he'd figure out how to do that over here, instead of ignoring all the problems and going on vacation every other month.

Yeah, Bighuey - toilet paper!
I remember a discussion at a tea break years ago on how Americans once they had a President elected they would stand by him & defended him no matter what. They always seemed to take the view that we might not like him but dam it he's now our elected president and dare anyone criticise him.

Obama is certainly the best looking president the US has had in years IMHO ... oh how shallow I am

His looks do nothing for me. But Fran, I do respect the Office of the President - but this guy I have absolutely no respect for! Lord, I hope people come to their senses and he is not re-elected in Nov 2012! I won't even listen to him on TV - I cringe when I hear him. He's definitely not a good thing for this country!

Obama is a phoney, thats for sure. But it dosent make any difference who is president, nothing changes. The country is in a mess, has been for years. No one man is going to make a bit of difference. If all those politicians would learn to work together instead of backbiting and name-calling and just being plain stupid things might be a little better.

Pretty much the same story here- banks gave too much money to people, 100% mortgages etc, the developers went mad with new building projects and when we hit a recession, the property market burst, people lost their jobs, companies went belly up and we need Europe to give us a helping hand. And the rich stay rich and the poor have to emigrate. Also, its nobodies fault! Mad country we are..

Thats what happened in the US. They made loans to people who couldnt pay them back, theres so much goverment interference into business they have sent all the manufacturing plants overseas. A person might have to go to China to get a job. Inflation is going crazy world wide too, some things have doubled in price in the last year or two. It makes you wonder where its all going to end.

Sadly i doubt it will end in bankers and developers being hauled to jail, which is what really galls the common person, just seeing months and months of useless "investigation" into banking practices and developers loans etc thrown down the drain when the whitewash of a report comes out and nobody is punished whilst the fat cats walk away with massive pensions and a life of luxury, it aint fair and it aint right.
