I agree with you Caroline. I also learnt to believe in my inner strength. And most importantly that success isn't for a specific group. No one has a direct ticket to win.Gikonyo Caroline wrote: ↑03 Jan 2018, 04:44 There are many lessons I picked among them is to have the courage to be myself, the value of integrity and ethics in business, standing for what I believe, treating others with grace, taking responsibility for my life, quit whining, learn lessons from failure , there are no limits except those I accept and believe to be so, listening to my instincts, controlling my emotions so that am cheerful in the face of rudeness, am tolerant in the face of lack of courtesy, and forgiving in the face of intrusiveness.

I also agree with this. I will always try to apply what I learn from my experiences and those of others

I agree on this idea that it is okay to fail and fall because this is the time we will grow. All we need to do is to make our stones be our steeping stone out of stumbling blocks.

Your right. Failures cannot hinder us to have a successive life but without determination we fail. I also read the book entitled "DARE TO FAIL". Our failures are a sign that we need to improve something om this part.

It is very easy to manipulate people who are vulnerable. I agree on what you learned in this book. Sometimes, I make chances to manipulate those who are weak, yet I realized it must not be and will never be.

eXACTLY! We must grow in tough times and in good times. Rob's book shows portray this kind of book. Some parts make him arrogant, yet in the end, he gives himself a chance to grow on his stumbling blocks.

This post touched a nerve. You put into words how I feel!AliceofX wrote: ↑03 Jan 2018, 04:23 To be honest I really can't say I learned anything. The thing that bothered me about the book is that for some people just leading a normal, boring life is a struggle, going through a day without becoming a mess is an achievement. The problem with And Then I Met Margaret is I never felt the author faced any real adversity in his life. Here I'm proud of slowly crawling out of a hole and he's talking about building castles.
Yes! You will, indeed!
