No, you dont want to forget them but you need the pain to lessen or you would be obsessed with grief and not be able to go on with your life. Losing someone is a part of life and you just have to deal with it and go on living.

It is too much difficult or impossible to forget her if you are involved with her sincerely

You don't forget someone you love. You remember the joy you had with that person and cherish it. What you need to do is come to the realization that the love you shared is no longer there and find someone who will be more appreciative of the person you are. All things come to an end in one way or another.

When you're grateful to them for giving you the things you should already have anyway, ask yourself why."

I'm definitely agree with the statement that you will never forget a person you used to love. And to tell the truth it's normal, but sometimes hurts

Go to a place where you can think of the things that happened about you and your ex-significant other. Then plan out things that can make yourself busy. Like go a dance lesson, put up a gathering with your friends, go to a party to meet new people and etc. In that way you'll think of him less.

A friend of mine had a solution when his lady friend died, he locked himself in his trailer with a case of Jack Daniels for about a week. It seemed to work for him, but for most people that would be kind of drastic.

One day I stumbled upon an ashen heap of burnt mementoes. Some charred items like a cracked picture frame, small toys and Valentine's Day cards told the sad story. It is said to be therapeutic to end one relationship before starting another and what better way than burning the evidence.

Never look back!

according to my experience if you can divert your mind to some other work you can easily forget tings you wanted to but make sure that you need to be strong.

don't do anything stupid, be creative you will automatically forget

Always go forward with no regrets. "Time heals all wounds" is a very true statement. You will never forget, but you will learn to forgive. You will be a stronger person and if you look back, look back with gratitude.

Spoken from a girl who was in many pieces just a few years ago and now have more confidence than I've ever had before :!: :!: :!:
