Thank you for your review! I appreciate that the author took the time out to accurately depict feminist issues during the 1950s. I'm also interested in learning more about June's abilities.

If you were have this Psychic ability and you can see things that other's don't how you will deal with this? This happened with June but everyone knows about her ability and others wouldn't consider this normal they treat her badly at school and everywhere she goes the only person who guide her and utilize that ability is Ms. Noel was gone and expelled from school because of such acts, what will happen now to June?
This is getting more exciting I wanna know the rest of the story.

This sounds interesting and I like the stand of the author on the concept of gender inequality. I also find myself empathising with the main character but it's really great she always have people still standing by her despite her conflicting acceptance. Thanks for the review.

This seems like an interesting book. I've always liked books about those with supernatural abilities. Especially since it seems like the girl learns to strengthen her powers instead of always being taunted by them. This should make a good read.

I agree with your review. I have just started this book and saw the gender inequality very early. I hope June doesn't give up what makes her unique. Looking forward to finishing the book.

Very good review, bravo! The storyline is well explained, and I already feel connected to the character June just from your description of her. I like the plot of a girl struggling in the 1950's with psychic abilities in a very Catholic family. I myself have a fair amount of Catholic family and understand the strict structure the religion has. Well done!

I enjoyed the Scottish dialect and the first few chapters. Not sure though if I will read the rest if the book because of the mysticism that is involved. Tarot cards and mind reading are not my cup of tea.

This sounds like something that would be interesting to read. A young girl in the 1950's who seeks to break the mold of the traditional view of women is bold. Also adding to the fact that she has psychic abilities which further isolates her from her classmates just adds fuel to the fire. Thanks for the review.

Just by reading your review, I've already being drawn to the lead role, June. One can tell that she's really strong-willed. Just for this reason I'm going to get my copy of this book.

The review is informative. I was able to grasp a general idea of the plot; the same information I gleaned from reading the first couple of chapters.

It's an interesting mix of catholicism and the psychic, and the setting of the 1950s sounds like it will definitely make it unique.
