Sure you dont mean Mexico for the potholes and falling bridges? We had 6 of them go out on the same highway 2 years ago.

I'm from southern Minnesota where we have three seasons:summer (hot and stormy), winter(freezing and where snow is measured in feet) and road construction. Call me crazy but I love it here. Great for my favorite hobby; reading.

Central England, I love it here, I like travelling but nothing beats home. We have all 4 seasons equally shared (pretty much) and a wide diversity of people and cultures, alot of interesting history and some great scenery.

No actually I haven't read that book. I just checked though and I do have it here at my work. Is it a good read?

Yea great story IMO. I'm a big Oates fan & when you mentioned the honeymoon capital it reminded me of that book. I posted a review of it a while back if you want to have a read.

Do the falls really exert as hypnotic an effect as Oates claims in the book?

Well I've lived here all my life (except a couple of adult years), and the falls still amaze me. They are thunderous, powerful, and beautiful. And yes, you can lose yourself in them just as you would fire...

Wow, I have cousins that live in Niagra on the Lake but I would love to be that close to the falls... I love going to visit the falls whenever I get a chance... even doing the touristy things like Maid of the Mist.

I love it down in NOTL ~ so fun to shop!! I live here and still play tourist LOL I actually have a friend who drives the Maid of the Mist. Whereabouts in TO are you?
