Thank you for your recommendation. :) Solely based on the cover, I would have never read this book. Your highly detailed review and the sample I've read made me change my mind. Although I am not a fan of dark urban fantasies, the writer's gift for storytelling and his wild imagination are too genuine to ignore.

A very good review of the book and the characters. I also appreciated the warning about the level of violence. Definitely written by a fantasy fan.

This is definitely an action packed, gripping, edge of your seat kind of fantasy. Lovers of gore will really enjoy this one too. I would highly recommend this book.

Wow! What a story! I can't imagine the book storyline only spanning 5 days, and with the extent of the character death warning! It seems like a mix between Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones in a MUCH shorter space of time. This has really made me want to read it to find out how it can be possible!

I can’t thank you enough for this amazing review! Vampires are a hit or miss topic for me, and without this enormous praise, I probably wouldn’t have considered reading this book. But my interest is piqued now!

Your enthusiasm for this book is contagious! I love the term “book hangover.” Fantasy is not my go-to genre, but I can’t pass up a book with such rave reviews!

The many fantasy creatures mentioned, some of which I’ve never come across, definitely make me want to read this one. An original world with characters that are well done and captivating descriptions is one of my weaknesses. I’m so glad it’s well-edited! Thanks for the informative review!

It seems you really had fun reading this book. I understand your "hangover." It isn't an easy task to create a whole new world in a story, let alone one that compels readers to immerse in it. This writer apparently has done both. What an achievement! However, I'm a little bit indecisive here. Although, I'm captivated by the story, I'm turn off by the extreme violence mentioned in the book. I'll think whether this book is for me or not.

I am glad you became a fan of this book, but I will pass. I am one of those readers with an aversion to extreme violence (my exception is Game of Thrones). Thanks for the review!

It would not be wrong to say that this is a fantasy novel and its characters are monsters and evils. According to the review, an evil Cu Roi was slain by the fairy Grimmer, two thousand years ago to save the world from that monster.

The story shifts to modern day Manchester where an injured man on the street about to die sees the resurrection of Grimmer the monster slayer, it signals that the evil Cui Roi is coming back.

There are a lot of bloodshed and killings in this novel full of fantasies about devilish and mysterious characters. I enjoyed reading this novel. Vincent Bobbe has written a fantastical novel.

Your review is an absolute delight to read – it provides an enchanting glimpse of this imaginary world! I am not usually interested in this genre, but I might give it a try. Great review, thank you!

What a wonderful review! I normally don't need much persuasion to read sci-fi/fantasy book and now I literally cannot wait to read this. A book about an evil being, Cú Roí, who had previously been vanquished returned to unleash great danger on earth just like Sauron in Lord of the Rings. All races uniting to defeat the evil guy again just like they did in Lord of Rings. J.R.R Tolkien is the godfather of sci-fi/fantasy books.

Heavy sigh.. the official review had me from the first sentence! I am a fantasy fan but zombies and vampires, not so much. The fact the story takes place in 5 days has peaked my interest! I love fast paced stories! A must read.

"Between Cam, Grímnir and a host of humans, Elves, immortal men and Ifrit, they need to come together to vanquish Cú Roí one last time"...This is cool..a lot of different creatures coming together...hmm..sounds fun
