I love a good crime thriller ! If you can stick some sexy smut and relationship building also, I’m sold! Thank you for your review. I’m really eager to read this Murder among friends, despite the errors. I wonder if this will turn into a sequel ? Is that possible? I guess time will tell.

Thank you for your informative review. Paula's "friends" sound like characters and very believable. At this time, I'm into being respectful to others, and this doesn't sound like this is the book for me. I'm glad you enjoyed it, but not sure why Cammie would start an affair with a person of interest in a case she is working on. I hope those who enjoy crime thrillers with lots of twists and some romance will also enjoy it.

This book has two favorite aspects of a nighttime page turner: romance and murder-mystery. I cannot wait to get my hands on this book to go on the hunt for the truth with Cammy and her brother.

I must admit this sounds very intriguing and with loads of suspense. The romance part is not my favorite genre but I seems the author did a perfect balance between the genres to make it interesting. I'm quite eager to find out what happens to Paula. Thanks for an insightful review. Congrats on BOTD and thanks for the free book.

I hoped there was more thriller and less romance, so I might pass on this one. Thank you for your review, anyway

Very nice review. It was enjoyable to read, and I felt it provided enough information about the story to make me want to read more. After reading the first two chapters on the Amazon sample version, I found it so interesting that I added it to my to-read list. This book sounds perfect for me with its witty banter, unexpected twists, and surprising revelations. Thank you for sharing.

“Murder Among Friends” by Linda J. Burson is a story about a private detective named Camille, who helps the police solve cases that they do not have the time or manpower to handle. Cammy loves to spend time in Connecticut with her brother Zach, her sister-in-law, her nephew, niece and their friend Austin. Zach is a police officer and when Austin’s mother Paula goes missing, he is assigned the case and Cammy feels that her PI skills can help Zach search for Paula. Grant, Paula’s husband is a very handsome man and the more time Cammy spends with him she realizes that she is falling in love with him and since Grant is a primary suspect in Paula’s disappearance Cammy wants to prove his innocence. I enjoyed the sample that illustrated Cammy’s determination and perseverance on cases. She worked day and night to solve the murder of a young police office named Jeb who joined the force after his tour of duty in Afghanistan. I look forward to reading the entire book and learning what happened to Paula.

I enjoy reading a romantic novel with an added thriller. I am surprised by Camille and Grant's relationship. I would give this book a read if not for the heavy use of Rated-R language. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

I completely agree with your assessment! I was also impressed by the way the author wove together the mystery and romance elements, creating a story that was both thrilling and tender. Cammy's character, in particular, was a standout for me - her sassiness and determination made her a compelling protagonist. And that twist at the end? Mind blown! I also appreciated how the author explored themes of loyalty, trust, and the complexities of human relationships. The writing was engaging, and the dialogue was so natural and witty. I'm definitely looking forward to more from this author!
