The topic is undoubtedly thought provoking. the author's writing style is quite challenging. suited for intellectual and academic readers. Maybe the author tried to educate the readers about ancient language through thse complex writing style? I doubt that this book would be a good fit for me. Thank you for your honest review.

Thank you for your honest review on "Reconceptualizing Mental Illness in the Digital Age" by Elliott B. Martin, Jr.. I will not be putting this book on my shelf because of your review letting me know how difficult a read this is. Psychology is difficult a subject to read in the first place without an author explaining the subject in run on words that are difficult to understand.

Thank you for your honest review. I'm glad that at least part of the book you liked, though it does sound very confusing in other parts. While I believe a lot more needs to be done and the stigma removed in mental illness, I'm not interested in reading a complicated book on any subject at this time in my life. I'm glad that you gave points for the different types of writing from the author of this book. Hopefully, there will be just the right kind of readers to find this book.

Today's BOTD is a educational read that draws awareness to the growing number of mental health issues in today's digital world. Filled with valuable, thought-provoking details on various topics, such as identity, addiction, and media, readers will not only walk away more informed, but also with a better understanding of the struggles many face today. Thanks so much!

I love reading about mental illness since it is very timely and relevant so I’m looking forward to digging into this book to find out what Martin has to say about this topic since he is an authority in this matter.

There have been many advances that can help us help the helpless. Attacking wires to the skull might sound frightening but it might help someone tell what they are thinking. Digital age certainly did change things. Congratulations on the BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

An ancient language specialist writing a book about what I’d argue is the single most critical topic of the modern day. I like it. It’s priced like an academic book, understandably - I wonder what could be done to increase its accessibility. Growing its exposure (like this) is probably part of that answer!

The impact of digital technology on human psychology is what interests me in this educational book, as most of us use this technology and don't know its side effects.

I agree with you. The sentence you quoted is very confusing, and if there are more sentences like that, I don't think this book is for me. I would also agree with you that this book would be suited for academics interested in psychology. I appreciate your honest review, as it is very informative. Thank you for sharing.

The relationship between technology and mental health in the modern world is a significant and pressing subject. However, the topic is not only fascinating but crucial in this day and age. And the author seems to have an ability to use humor to get their point across.

At the start I got much interested about reading this book but as the review passed down the interest to read this book gone in vain. The points mentioned at the start like mental illness, suicide, media issue seems really interesting but the way of writing style so confusing as reviewed taking me off to read this piece.
