I read this series for something different. It was okay. Just not my type that I would normally chose for a romance novel.

I never heard of this book before, but after reading your review I'll put it on my to-read list. The last quote you wrote was amazing. Great review :D

I watched the movie before I read the book and I am so glad I actually read the book. There was definitely some differences between the two and the book developed the characters in a way you can't get on the screen.
If you haven't yet read the sequel then I would highly recommend it. It didn't have the same gut wrenching sadness as the first but is an excellent story all on its own.

I watched the movie adaptation of If I Stay before I realized that it was a book. A few months later I decided to read the book so I did and could not help but be incredibly glad that the movie adaptation was a very good and relatively accurate to the book. Therefore, the small moments in the book that were not in the movie were great tidbits of Mia, Adam and others that I thoroughly enjoyed having. The book ends on such a cliffhanger and suspenseful because though the reader is happy, there are still questions left to lead into a sequel, so I immediately picked up the second book called Where She went !

I think I read this forever ago, but I don't remember really anything about it. As a future high school English teacher though, I like to read young adult books to make suggestions to my future students or be able to discuss the books with them. I might need to pick this up again! Thanks for the review!

Thank you for this review. I totally felt the same way. I loved how the characters developed in the story and realized how hard it is to be on their shoes. I've read this 2 years ago but I can still feel the heart of the story. The second book did not disappoint too.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."

In my opinion, this book is a bit overrated. I totally agree with your review though.
