This book sounds fascinating and your review makes me want to read it, even though historic romantic fiction is more my genre.

I want to read it now. This didn't look very interesting to me, but your review has changed my mind. I agree that the title isn't terribly compelling although it fits the story.

Some books are not that good even though the title might be great. In this case, it's the opposite! After I read the book, the first thing I thought was that there should have been a better title befitting such a good book.

Great review by the iconic Owlie and I'm planning on reading this book. I love a story that challenges our perceptions of the gray area or causes compassion on characters that are questionable and I believe this book does that based on Owlie's review.

I for one love a juicy crime story, but with the details in your review it sounds like it is a lot more than that.
