Though I am curious to know what ultimately happens with Marcellus and Catrin, I can't imagine reading additional books in the series. I was pretty bummed that more questions were not answered in the ending. I spent so much time diving into these two characters' lives and relationship and was disappointed by the ending for not sharing where they will end up.

The first book seems slow at first but the second book may make up for it.

If the first book gives me a feeling of satisfaction, I'll definitely try out the second one.

I really fell in love with the imagery and some of the characters, but the violence, incest, and rape was far too much for me. I don't think I could make it through another book like this one, especially with how much some of the scenes just made my stomach turn.

I will certainly read the next book. I want to see what happens to Catrin and Marcellus. I've already read the first few chapters when it was the BOTD.

Definitely, I'm curious to see if there's any mention of Catrin's twin sister there.

I try to always keep an open mind. I will definitely try the second book, but finishing it will depend on how I feel after I start reading it. However, I was interested in the first book and would be interested in reading the follow up.
