And the answer is - John Lithgow. I loved him in "Third Rock From The Sun" particularly the episode where he locked himself in his room and watched life via his computer. Almost too true to be funny.....

Here's another one. Who said: "We are rich only through what we give, and poor only through what we refuse".

Maud ... that was Ralph Waldo Emerson - very apt for the Xmas season

Now try

I think that quote was made by George Clooney.

How about this Christmas classic.....

Shirley Temple! I don't know how I knew that but I did and that's all that matters

Now let's see if you can figure this one out:

"I wasn't kissing her, I was whispering in her mouth."

Now for the season that's in it who said ....

'Yeah, I just wish we weren't doing so well in the bit-short-of-prezzies-and-feeling-a-gullible-prat ledger'.

Now here's an interesting quote ...

Hey there Fran, I do believe that your quote was made by Oliver Reed.

I know that one ... it was Michael Caine. Actually one day my boss remarked that we'd didn't appear to be busy & I responded with that quote only I think I said swan instead of duct. We nearly had to pick him the boss off the floor ... not often that I get my timing that good!

Now here we go ...

'It's never been confirmed that Elizabeth I was a virgin. It's like the Virgin Mary - it's about branding, a logo. To use a modern term, Elizabeth was actually a bit of a slut'.
And it was not Edmund Blackadder!

That is an awesome quote Fran. Made by the brilliant Helen Mirren. She is such a an amazing actress, I rate her right up there with good ol Meryl Streep.

How about

Roald Dahl I do believe

Now here's a real beauty for you to ponder:
