I’m not that into romance novels. However the history part of this sounds interesting. I’m also all for female characters going against the gender norms of society. I’m sure that was totally different 100 years ago.

I am a bit concerned by how detailed the summary of the novel is since it might spoil the readers. Hopefully, those two introductory paragraphs only discuss the premise by which the story is based and would not have revealed any major plot points and surprises or twists.
