Despite everything Thomas Wick went through in his early years, I'm glad that this book also details the grace and forgiveness in his story. This makes it a more inspiring story than if it didn't have that.

I'm not a fan of the premise, but I'm heartened to know that this is a true story. I hope this book gives hope to many who experienced a dysfunctional childhood to be better adults. I wonder why it was given a full score despite the flaws. I'm glad that the adult content is not explicit. Congratulations on the BOTD and review.

Thanks for your review. Looks like Thomas had quite an unhappy childhood, so it's easy to understand his addiction to drugs and alcohol. This book will be useful for those with PTSD and emotional trauma to learn from his mistakes.

Reading about the first 20 years of the author's life is one that will elicit all kinds of emotions from the reader. I'll live to know in detail how life turned out for the author. Nice review.

It is very disheartening to grow up in an area where crimes are normal. But good to know that Thomas endured it. Kudos to the reviewer.

A person can really change their own future no matter the actions from their parents if they really to. Congrants to the author for sailing through his dysfunctional family and making something of himself. Thanks for the review.

This book brings us to remember to various deficits in our society. A kid exposed to drug use, sexual abuse,and verbal abuse are things I cannot wrap my head around. He didn't get the protection he deserved but I am glad that the author overcame all these challenges.

This autobiography touches on a lot of sensitive subjects. The author experienced many uphill battles and survived many hardships. It will be interesting to read about his childhood and his time served in the Navy. Readers can find inspiration from his journey, and it's great that there still two more volumes of information he has to share. I like how the review reminds us to appreciate the little things. Thanks for the recommendation. I appreciate the well-written and insightful review!

I completely agree that a lot of people complain about the littlest things and forget that there is so much worse happening in the world. Being aware of that brings a sense of appreciation instead of the need to complain.
