"Gateways to Psychotherapy" by Michael Hegarty is a book about meeting with a therapist to resolve problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings and relationship issues. The author discusses different steps to being a good psychotherapist including client preparation, client meetings, building relationships with clients and documenting conversations and results. This is an excellent look at the world of psychotherapy where a good therapist can truly help people. Some relationships may not be saved if the couple waited too long to seek therapy but given the right circumstances discussing the issues they have can be resolved and a stronger marriage can be the ultimate outcome. This book is only 115 pages divided into seven chapters. Well written and a very good review.

Psychotherapy is an underemphasized aspect of health. I would love to read this book so as to understand the subject more. Thanks for the amazing review.

I work in an entirely different field, so I know that this book is not geared toward me. The review is giving people who want to have a career in the author's field a chance to learn from his techniques and practices that has served him well over these many years.

This book is such an educative read for anyone who wants to learn about psychotherapy. It is well-organized and contains lots of practical informations. It offers useful guide with valuable lessons but seems not for everyone. This could be a good start for those who have never tried counselling to get some sneakpeak about how it would be like. Thank you for an excellent review.

This sounds like a very helpful book for new psychotherapists and clients too. In sampling this book, I noticed the author's cancer is in remission. I hope it stays in remission for a very long time. Thank you for your review, and congrats on BOTD.

This book is informative enough for students and psychotherapist. However, I might pass on with this one since it doesn't fit my interest. Thanks for your review.
