I prefer fiction over biographies so I will be passing. However, I'll add it to my recommendation list for others. Congrats to the author for BotD!

A book on a wise person which describes his life is always an inspirational read! Thank you for the review!

I am a true believer of the author's way of thinking about honor people while they are still alive and the realization that your thoughts create beliefs, beliefs create attitudes, attitudes create behaviors, and behaviors create results. A man who puts his family and God above all else, is worth reading about. Congrats on BOTD.

This sounds really good, seeing the life of another person in other people's view. I really hope to read this.

I think this is the best gift you can ever give someone. The love this wife has for her husband is immense and she authors a book on him while he's still alive. That's just amazing and beyond this world. Thanks for the great review.

Touchstone by Linda Eatmon-Jones is about encouragement, love and life attitude. It’s a family’s legacy that tells people never give up no matter life how hard it is, change your life by education, works and love. Today ‘s people really need this kind of spirit.

The author not only pieced together this work in praise of her husband, but she also invited friends and business associates to chip in. She is of the school of thought that people should be celebrated while they are still alive.

I love that she loved her husband so much as to take the time to write this book about him. Still, it's not something I would normally gravitate to. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though. Thanks.

The author thinks that it is important to praise and honor people while they are still alive.
I couldn't agree more with this author. When we are dead, we are not conscious of anything, so praise and glory should be given when we are alive. It's a touching biography.

Touchstone by Linda Eatmon-Jones is the biography of her husband, Earle-Francis Jones, who has lived a life of a gentleman in service of others and society. Reading the book's introduction, we see that this is about a man who has commanded respect and has earned the trust of the people who got to know him and benefited from his work in the business sector (Comcast, cable industry), politics and social activism. To the eyes, he is a looker with dignified elegance, usually being mistaken for celebrities such as James Earl Jones and Colin Powell. To his wife and those who know him and his work closely, he has inspired through sheer example. Mrs. Eatmon-Jones says his roots and upbringing are important to what he later achieved in life. Where one comes from has a profound effect on where one is going and will likely go. This is a great message on the importance of family support and upbringing in shaping who we are going to be and how we are going to impact the world. I also like a key quote from the book, which Yolimari cites in her review, that thoughts shape beliefs and beliefs shape attitudes, and therefore, actions. Again, the importance of where you are coming from, your roots. We have a saying from my place, "Whatever the tree is, so shall the fruit be." This book, aside from being a source of inspiration, is a lesson on the value of a solid upbringing.

The way Linda Eaton-Jones honors her husband is truly an inspiration and example. Who can do it better than a loving and understanding wife. The review portrays touchingly the author’s own outlook and attitudes as much as the husband’s character and achievements.

"The author thinks that it is important to praise and honor people while they are still alive. With this book, she has taken the opportunity to honor her husband's admirable life. More than that, she hopes that "Earle's life story and his legacy provide the inspiration for anyone in any stage of their life to realize that your thoughts create beliefs, beliefs create attitudes, attitudes create behaviors, and behaviors create results." I think this is amazing!! This is something I try to teach my family daily. Tomorrow is never promised to us, so we should never fail everyday letting our loved ones know how important they are! Congratulations on BOTD.

Biographies have always been very interesting to read for me, but this will be the first time I will read a biography of someone who is still alive. Let's see how it goes.

Touchstone by Linda Eatmon-Jones is a novel of a wife's love for her husband. She didn't waste time to wait until the right time comes. She expressed her love by writing a book. Liked the sentiment a lot.
