Livre Amour 217 I have read your 'Official Review' of 'The Devil Take Tomorrow'. I'm very impressed with how you reported your findings. You simply described your experience but managed to avoid getting personally involved in the 'frame of reference' without judgment. Like the professional you appear to be. you had the discipline, poise and the humility to state only what you learnt from your observations and experience. I find it refreshing to know that significant reviewers like you are available to authors. Two quotes confirm your 'ace reporting style' review which highlights my admiration for this particular style of reviewing. I absolutely love your review of The Devil Take Tomorrow! It seems like a good find. Sometimes I like to read books that are based on historical facts. I know zilch about the Revolutionary War and this book sounds like it has a lot to teach me about it. It's been a while since I've read a good historical fiction novel, so I wouldn't mind reading this one.

I was hesitant at first to read The Devil Take Tomorrow because of the title although the title is intriguing I thought that it could possibly be a bodice ripper and that is just not my kind of book. But once I started reading the sample, after the first line I was hooked adventure, action, rebels and the girl is saved! It reminded me of a classic adventure movie! I also liked that after reading the sample that I just had to do some research on the revolutionary war and learned some new things. I appreciate the warning about the abuse to women in the book. Action and great characters and an intriguing story how exciting!

good review - from the cover of the book, this looked like one i typically avoid. But, I downloaded in order to enter the giveaway - haha! But, judging from your review, I might find it deeper than the cover implies. Important to me in historical fiction is that the research on the time period be sound.

Good job on the very thorough review. You have made me interested in the book when you described that the writing style is as such that it paints very vivid mental pictures and that it was like watching a movie. Not many authors can do that. This will be my next book to read.
