Very insightful, honest review. You made a really good point about some of the characters being stereotypes. I had to laugh when you described it as "the high school food chain."

Good review. Although I think you're right when you say the author may be pushing for more than just a book deal which is distracting it's nice that you found the book somewhat enjoyable.

What a fantastic review! Your critique on overstating things was spot on. I've often noticed this in some books and it really is distracting. Despite this small detail, the book sounds very intriguing. I can't wait to read her version of the lore and the vampire world. Thanks for the great review!

I thought the review was good. I'm excited to read Bending Nature now that I know what it's about. It's right down my alley since I also write vampire romance and love to read the different spins the authors put on them. The review was also a great reminder because I tend to want to add what the characters are doing after they speak probably more often than I should.

Great review. It sounds worth a read and I do agree about it not being necessary to over explain and over emphasise gestures etc. I'm not really into vamps at the moment but I'd buy a paperback just for that cover

Great review! I really like that you brought up the different character stereotypes. It's too bad that some of them seemed to be created just to fill those stereotypes.

Thanks for the review! I frowned when I read the part where the vampire doesn't burn in the sun... I'm not a fan of that. I still prefer the part where they can only go out at night. Also, based on your review, the story sounds a lot like Stephenie Meyer's Twilight... So at first I didn't want to try this out.
But then I'm always open to reading something new, even if it means that vampires can come out in the sun. So, I'm a little hesitant, but I might just try reading it. :)

Thanks for the review. It sounds like the author nailed it with the description of the teens, although you are right in that it can be too much if it is not necessary to the story. This does sound like a great novel for teens that are into vampire novels though.

This sounds like a book that I would definitely pick up and read. I am a fan of vampires and I do read YA books too so this sounds like a good one from your review. Thanks for the good review and congrats to the author on being #BOTD!
