It would be nice to be able to escape into a simulation for a while to get away from your troubles. Or as the reviewer asks, is it something sinister? Thank you for your review.

The story or we can say a passionate character 's life or challenges in "Anticipation Day" by Jeff Michelson is a proper Sci-Fi book. Aligned not very perfectly but in a continuous way. Each part makes me think about what the character has going to do or what will be going to happen after the work done. But apparently there was a relief in every step that was coming either for a good or bad reason. Somewhere I find out that one should not give up on their well wishers or on family. The book was quite good.

Thank you for your review. I read the sample. A futuristic government OK's AI simulation for the purpose of calming and helping citizens' mental balance. What could go wrong? Read the book.

"Anticipation Day" by Jeff Michelson follows a group of friends anticipating entering simulations. This Sci/Fi book uses these to motivate citizens to keep jobs, maintain health, and be law abiding in hope of doing a simulation. This unique concept will attract readers to this great BOTD.

The concept, indeed, does not sound too farfetched, and one would not be imagining too much to think that someone somewhere could be thinking about the same. The only way the government could have a lot of say in who accesses something, including the technology, would be if they had invested a lot in it or they have a lot of control. I am wondering what happened such that the government could have such control. I look forward to reading the book. Many thanks for the informative review, @Laney K.

I wonder what choices each character make in the simulations.

Thank you for the great review.

Great review, Laney! The book sounds very intriguing, so I will definitely read it. I think that I am a little too scared to try the stimulation right now, but it is certainly something to think about. Thanks for the review!

Anticipation Day by Jeff Michelson is an enticing book about simulations. What would you be if you could be anyone for a day? Or a year, the choice is yours.

I loved the modern day types parts of the novel but honestly could have done withoutost of the story being in the 1200-1300s. Anything I need to know about the current day plot was presented during the current times presented by Elias. The later parts when Elias was in the 1800s we're more exciting. They earlier history parts were way to drawn out and boaring for my taste. I'm pretty sure the parts about HD were scientifically accurate.

Anticipation Day is a cool sci-fi book about people escaping into super-real simulations once a year to live out their biggest dreams. Some parts are a little slow, but the idea is awesome and a few moments really hit hard. Worth a read

One can travel to a time in near future by reading the science fiction story book "Anticipation Day" by Jeff Michelson. The features like Alexandra's simulation showing the depth of her stress is interesting point.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

The book stood out to me in many ways morally fundamentally and periodically through the book I was very moved by the actual possibly of this happening. The choice of being able to change who you are and just become whoever you want to must be a huge gift and or burden and just the overall tense almost occupational like feeling. I liked the sci Fi kind of futuristic approach and also the minimum bare that was to deal with throughout the book. Very easy clean swift read, a few things were confusing like the family names and family tree but overall i would rate this book a 4/5 it was interesting and compelling and definitely something I would read again in the future

A boundary-pushing plunge into a vividly imagined future, Anticipation Day poses powerful questions about identify, the human experience, and our digital destiny as a species, resulting in a provocative mixture of Black Mirror and The Surge.
