I am so glad that I ran across this thread. I have had the exact same problem and reading that other people are experiencing it too makes me feel so much better. I come from a large immediate family and only one person from my family has bought a copy of my most recent book. It can be very frustrating. Find support for your writing in other ways (looks like this site is a good start) and support for other things in your life through family and friends.
