I’m a sucker for a book that takes place in New Orleans, especially anything to do with the supernatural. Books with strong LGBT+ themes are also great, especially if they avoid the pitfall of the “kill your gays” trope. It’s too bad about the typos and such, but hopefully I can make it past those since it sounds like my kind of story otherwise. Thank you for the helpful review.

For some reason, I'm always drawn to supernatural stories set in New Orleans. The alternating viewpoints--between the witch in the 19th century and the characters in present day--set this up to be an interesting paranormal suspense.
