This book sounds like it will appeal to readers who like thrillers with a bit of drama. It's good that the minor editorial issues didn't interfere with the story. Thanks for a detailed review!

Suspense, crime, and thrilling books always attract my interest. This one really seems to bring a touch of realism to the fiction. I wonder how the character is going to deal with his family getting involved in the perils of this story. I'm going to sample it. Thanks for the insightful review! Great job.

There is always a price to pay for choosing a life of crime and breaking the law. Most times, the price is more than the value you derived from such lifestyle. This inner demons must be crushed. I'll love to read this book. Thanks for the review.

This sounds like an interesting action-filled novel. I will like to know how this mess ended and how Declan's life ended in the story. I love book like this, dealing with drug deal investigation. Nice Review.

This sounds like a beautifully written, deeply moving story. My heart goes out to so many vets who sacrificed so much for their country, and then were left on their own to struggle with the demons of memory. Thanks for a very well-written review. I enjoyed reading it.

The book seems all around interesting though my eyebrow raised at the racial discrimination to bring out the character. Of course you would only understand in the context. Great review!

Sounds like a character-based novel. But I want to read more about the appearance of racial discrimination. Nice review.

A very nice and relevant concept. Pitting the inner self doubts against forged reality is the age old war that ravages the third dimension of existence. Marvelous.

A Vietnam War veteran chooses a nomadic wandering life back in the United States trying to escape the horrors of the war. This realistic portrayal is exciting and suspenseful. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

I haven't read many books on war veterans, but you're overview of the plot has caught my attention, and this book sounds like a very interesting mystery thriller. I'm glad that the author seems to weave a true war story and not gloss over some of the things Declan experienced in the war as well as the aftermath.

Really enjoyed the review! Sounds a little deeper than the run-of-the mill crime thriller. I look forward to reading it!

It's easy for people to forget that our freedoms are bought at a heavy cost. Our military personnel return with haunted images of the hardships they faced and tragedies they endured, so the average citizen doesn't have to. Thank you for noting that some of the scenes may be triggers for individuals who have experienced war. The world is made up of simple people who all have a story to tell.

So, Declan Noakes is a Vietnam vet with PTSD, who self-medicates with marijuana and supports himself as a drug dealer. The sample was well written, but I don't think it is one I will read. Thank you for the review.
