I love that this is a faith based guide to suicide prevention. I’m fortunate not to know anyone in this situation currently, but know the book I’d recommend to them if I ever do.

The amount of suicides committed by teenagers is every year increasing around the world. It's amazingly devastating. I agree this book may help some of them if they read it. However, most teenagers when they are in a suicidal mode do not care much about reading. Perhaps someone close to him/her may read for them or share the message he/she needs from the book.

A book that aids young people to heal is a timely remedy in this hurting world. I love the detailed steps that you have taken to describe this book in your review.

It starts with children suffering neglect and shame. As they approach their teenage years, they find the life overwhelming and they end up having suicidal thoughts.

Congrats on this review that has been featured in the book of the day.

All those real-life stories of the people who wrote letters to the author asking for help make me want to read the book. The world has so many hurting people and I am very grateful that Donalyn Powell gives hope to them through the book.

This book sounds like a book that will help many. It also sounds like that she helped many in her process of writing this book, otherwise we would not have these letters. I hope this book lands into the hands of someone who needs it the most and people like the author and other people who work in this field continue to help people.

The book seems to be very intriguing. It is comprised of letters and poems. I am sure the letters from teenagers will be very heartbreaking.
I know the world is full of miseries but children should not suffer. A few days back a girl committed suicide and none of any friends or family noticed the suicidal signs. This has to be stopped.
I will read this book. Maybe I will be helpful for anyone who is going through a tough time. Congrats on being the BOTD 💐💐💐

Thanks for the review. Stepping Up by Donalyn Powell sounds like a useful novel that can wipe the tears of teens who have been suffering, maybe due to a sexual harassment, break down of a friendship, torture from the family, or by any other problem. This novel contains letters to the author from the teenagers who are suffering and also letters from the author to them. The author has guided many teenagers and stopped them from taking extreme steps of ending life. According to her, nobody is alone. God is there with everyone, and we should live to fulfill the duties that God has assigned to each of us. This book is recommended for teenagers who are desperate and want to go for suicide. Others can also read this if they have to deal with such teenagers. Even otherwise, this is an informative book about teenagers.

Great Official Review: Stepping Up by Donalyn Powell! The thoughts are spontaneous! The ending is nice! It acts as a model to write reviews, for me! Powell's answers to the letters of the suffering teens, described as the ones not just 'pray-once-and- God-will-fix-it' aids my evolution and expression!

The novel is all about stories about people who have attempted or considered taking their own lives or endured the loss of a loved one to suicide.

Your review was excellent! Thank you! Today's BOTD is a collection of letters and responses to and from those who have considered, followed through with, and/or have been affected by suicide in some way. It sounds like it has the potential to help so many people and even save lives. Despite the editing errors, I love the idea of using letters to get the message across. It gives a pesonal touch and lets readers know that although they may feel alone, they aren't. Thank you, again for your review - great job! :-)
