I like the patriotic spirit that engulfs Kim Embon the moment he steps out of his native Korea. I look forward to reading how him meeting some revolutionaries in Japan helps in bringing freedom in Korea. Nice review.

Thank you for such a thorough review. While parts of it do sound interesting, like Embon's desire for freedom, I really like stories that answer all of the questions the best. I believe I will pass on this at this time.

I find the historical fiction aspect appealing. You motivate readers to want to learn more about Korea and its relations with Japan at this time in history. The way each character tells their story keeps the story from becoming stagnant. Thanks so much for your intriguing insights!

Thank you for your very in-depth look into the book. It certainly seems to be a very interesting read for those who enjoy this type of story line and history genre.

Nice review! This seems like a great book to learn about Asian history as I only know as much as I learned throughout my schooling. However, I don’t usually like books with abrupt endings so I will proceed with caution.
