I’m not really a huge fan of westerns, but I hope if you like them you give this book a try!

Sounds like a gripping historical fiction novel with well-developed characters and vivid descriptions. Set in the American West in 1877, the story also includes photos of historical characters. I am pleased that you enjoyed it, but it sounds too intense for me. Thank you for the detailed review!

Too much detail can be tiredome to read, unless it is well written and developing the story. Historical depictions should gives one a feeling of the time of the novel. According to the review it seems to be the case. It should be something worth discovering.

An intriguing historical novel set during the Indian wars. It's supposed to be immersive and great for history buffs, but contains graphic content for mature audiences. Curious to check it out. Congratulations on being BOTD!

Quickly embracing historical novels. the reviewer has presented us with a close-up view of the Indian war, especially with the Nez Perce. The description of the countryside, the relationships on both sides, and the tie in with known historical figures, makes this more realistic than most in presenting this particular period. Kudos for an excellent review!

The gruesome battles must be tough to read about but they seem necessary to the story. Thus, I recommend this well-written historical fiction book by Julia Sullivan only to those
who can stomach such violent scenes.

A historical fiction novel based on the American West is not really my kind of novel. I really liked your review and how you mentioned that the author uses humour in random places to break up the violence. It's not my cup of tea, though.

It is rare to find books that provide a load of information on characters without it feeling too much. The silly humour, as mentioned by the reviewer, seems to break through the tension of the serious plot. Good review and congratulations on the BOTD! :)

This one set in 1877 is a nice historical fiction novel "Bone Necklace" by Julia Sullivan. The focus being on the lifetime of history belonging to Jack Peniel makes it interesting to me. I want to read this book at earliest.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I love a good historical fiction and this one seems exceptional! The gruesomeness of it will probably deter me from reading it especially because it can really take you away from the story rather than adding to it. Regardless, this is a great review!

From a short sample of the book I have read, the story is full of action and adventure as well as humor. I enjoy historical fiction and this one about the Indians seems promising.
