The title is very eye-catching. I already knew based on the cover art and the title what the topic would be about. I must say that I like the fact that the book is short and contains some illustrations. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

This presents a unique viewpoint of the Vietnam War, and considering what is happening in the world right now, this is a timely BOTD as well. I like the fact that the book has illustrations and that it is a short read. Thank you for the analysis.

Patty Allread wrote: 07 Feb 2022, 12:58 Now you've got me very curious about this book. I was a teen during the Vietnam War and I am interested to read something about it that isn't just, as you said, "the mud and blood." Thank you for your great review.
enemies are everywhere, to have one in Vietnam is still a part of the lovely tales :D :) :D

I am not really interested in historical and military books but when i saw the description of this book in the review ,i found it interesting enough to atleast read it once since it is not really a long one ,and also for the sake of reading something new.

To read about the Vietnam War from a white veteran's point of view sounds interesting.

I am most impressed by the revelation that this war story is crafted with a realistic, socially-significant tone. Guess it will make an interesting read.

I'm fascinated by the author's description of his experiences in Vietnam. However, this is not the kind of novel I enjoy to read. Congratulations!

I enjoyed the review, it made the book sound interesting. Knowing how my father was treated when he was in the ARMY makes me want to read this to see if the author's experience is the same or similar. I don't usually read non-fiction but I want to read this and it being short is a plus.

I am a huge fan of historical real events and war stories. I love it that the book is fairly small and does not tackle many diverging themes. I am therefore interested in reading the book.

Enemies sometimes imposes themselves as our friends, but they're not...
If you'll have to look at an enemy with one eye, be sure to look at those who says they're your friends with both eyes.... Times are tough, war zones are not play grounds, to act in cowardice is self danger and self destruct...

I like this book, a historical non-fiction that gives account of the writers experience during the Vietnamese war which I have heard little about.
Many books can inform you but there's only one that can transform you(The Holy Bible). Pls don't forget to drop a comment for this review. Thanks. :D :tiphat:
