This book sounds like a fun mystery based in the UK. I like that it has comedy in it and won’t be dissuaded by the foreign words that may be confusing at times. I’m curious to see how this plot develops.

Actually, many non-UK readers will be familiar with the references simply because the British Commonwealth includes many former colonies of Britain.

Besides Philip and Winston, there's enough suspense in this story to make it interesting, especially when you mix in a dodgy company, the British Government, and an American billionaire. I'd love to see how this all unravels.

This story sounds like it has a lot of mystery and intrigue. The humor seems like it would offer a good balance to the potential tension. I especially love that Philip is working with what seems to be an incompetent team; it adds to both the humor and the tension as the reader wonders how anything can get resolved that way. The uncertainty of what’s real and what’s not...that’s something that I think we can all relate to a little too much with the disconnect that the pandemic has caused. Great review! I already feel bad for poor Phillip. A potentially massive story on his lap and his team is just “his editor, Liz, who doesn’t seem to like him very much, the reliably unreliable Winston, and a former cop-turned-barfly called Slattery.” Things could go wrong in so many ways!

A suspenseful story that doesn't seem hurried and incorporates good humour definitely sounds like the kind of read I would like to indulge in right now. Thank you for the detailed review.

Really enjoyable all the while author did a plum job in threading the course of events up to grade, but interestingly cool.
Reviewing is good sheds lights on thrills evenly, definitely a worth readers while.
