Good review. I love reading fantasy. I especially like that it starts off describing Voulhire and that it’s descriptive throughout the book. I’ll add this to my must reads.

I like reading fantasy so much. The review is so good that I can't wait to read it. Looking forward to reading more about Galen and Rowan. Congrats on BOTD!

This is the first book in a 9 book series. It is a sci-fi, fantasy novel and overwhelmingly exciting. I truly appreciate the details given in the prologue as it sets the tone for the entire novel. From the outset, the reader will want to know what becomes of this powerful mage, Meldorath. It seems as if he has been given a raw deal. :cry2:

The other two chapters also introduce the reader to two other major characters of the novel. It is seen that the first one i.e. Galen is escaping from a life of hardship and the other, King Wilhelm, is living a luxurious life. It will be interesting to see if all three characters meet up and if so, how they will interact with one another.

The language used in this book is also very descriptive and draws the reader into the actual plot. A great read. :D

Being a good leader will earn you much respect, dignity, and honor, but not with the case of king Voulhire, who, by his leadership made people to cry and make life difficult for them to live.

Good book, good author.

I feel like I have to read other books in the series to truly understand this one. It's filled with adventure and fantasy a great combination.

Voulhire though a fictitious name given to a land of fantasy in this story, seems intriguing.

It is a great book, but the story is also too slow for my taste. Perhaps because it's the first book in a series & the author doesn't want to reveal too much about the story? Anyway, this book has put a solid base for its sequels, and I haven't read them all, but I hope the sequels are more entertaining than the first book. :techie-studyinggray:

Yes, this was a good book. And I can't wait to find out how the series will end. I have a few ideas, but I'll keep them to myself just in case this turns into a spoiler.

I have a bad experience from a book written in both the third-person and first-person viewpoints so I'm kind of reluctant to read this. Nevertheless, this is a well-written review that hypes up the book well, although it's a little vague for me. Rowan is the kind of character that I'd love too, but I'm most excited to read about the mystery that surrounds Lord Meldorath.

I completely agree with your assessment of language in this book. It is simple and easy to understand yet intriguing. The story starts with a bang and I loved the way the characters were introduced. I find your review well written and appropriate.

I love story of adventure, action and ancient stories. I'll surely check the free sample to get a glimpse of this story about Mages. Congrats to the author for BOTD.
