Your review perfectly captures the essence of "Waterworks" by Jack Winnick. I appreciate how you highlighted the novel's intense pacing and the way it blends real-world concerns with the personal struggles of spies. The aspect of terrorism through water supply poisoning is a chilling concept and certainly sets this book apart. Your insights on the incorporation of historical settings and the personal lives of the characters add depth to the narrative. Also, noting the minor editing issues shows your attention to detail. Your suggestion to include translations for foreign phrases is quite thoughtful and would indeed make the book more accessible.

Terrorist attack on a water facility is a horrifying thought so I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how power couple Uri and Lara will put a stop to terrorism in this suspenseful novel.

I like the thriller books with guns, bombs and all that but it would be interesting to read about terrorists targeting the water supply instead. It sounds pretty dangerous but would be thrilling to read about.

The plot delves into the personal lives of spies as well. It investigates the considerable difficulties of working undercover. Starting a family, exposure to illicit affairs, and worrying about their partner are all concerns for married spies. This personal side balances the action and political aspects.

I like the suspense in this novel. It's captivating and thrilling. Lara and Uri were already on vacation in preparation for their new family. Well, they were called to be on duty by the FBI to find out the terrorist who poisoned the Los Angeles water system. You'll surely enjoy reading this book. Well, it's an amazing novel and I recommend it. Congrats on BOTD.

Indeed Jack is an intelligent author because to make the novel interesting and captivating to read, he ensured it was water that was the major problem. People can't do without water when they're thirsty, people are ready to fight tooth and nail for it.

I appreciate the varied viewpoints from different reviewers about this book. Having read multiple reviews, I find the political context challenging, especially considering the current circumstances. Despite the complex political backdrop, I value the fictional aspect of the novel, particularly the portrayal of two individuals striving for a greater cause while navigating personal relationships, emotions, and dreams of starting a family.

Sounds good for fans of suspense and action novels. An attack on a city’s water resources is indeed a real threat.

"Waterworks" by Jack Winnick is the fifth book of the Lara and Uri series, which focuses on the terrorist attack on LA compromising the water system. After Lara and Uri's marriage, this will be their first mission as a married couple who have to work independently. The author has beautifully crafted this book to be a standalone and packed with action. The review is very informative and honest. Thank you!

I still do not understand why terrorists kill innocent people. What do they want to achieve by killing? It is so disheartening. Amazing review!

the mysteries behind the waters seems like a story that is great for the Lara and Uni duo to tackle together. Im interested in knowing what happened to cause these deaths and the events behind the terror attacks.

I have been hearing about Jack Winnick's book for quite some time now and they sound intriguing. Uri and Laura seem like a power couple who are willing to put their lives on the line to solve mysteries and keep everyone save. Will they be able to find who poisoned the water? A very interesting story.

It musn't be easy living in a world filled with terrorist and having to work as an undercover spy, it must be crazy. To think that Lara and Uri even have time to think of starting a family amidst all the danger that surrounds them goes to show what kind of people they are, very interesting book. As someone coming from Africa where in some countries terrorism is the order of the day because of the use of weapons I'm intrigued to read about water pollution being a threat to terrorism especially given the fact that we now have technology . Will love to know more about that .
