No, I actually find it quite disturbing to read with those that do. However, I understand why some will feel the need to do so.

I normally do it with new vocabulary or with words that I have problems to pronounce.

Lol! I do when I’m distracted by my surroundings and am trying to understand what I’m reading. Otherwise, I don’t. (At least, I don’t think I do . . .)

I don't move my mouth, but I do make crazy facial expressions and talk to the characters if they're being dumb :lol2:

When I move my mouth or trace with my fingers it slows my pace and I don't like it

No, I don’t move my mouth when reading. I pretty much just get comfy in a chair and read away!

I don't, I think I read too fast. I do sometimes reread sentences a couple of times.

I've read that things like whispering and mumbling reduce our reading. So to avoid that I put my tongue inside and at the bottom of my mouth.

It's always been easier for me to read and he able to remember what I've read if I mouth the words. When I'm alone, I'll read out loud just so I know that I'll remember every word. Because if I don't, my memory goes blank. Reading out loud to myself is relaxing and it helps me to better understand the words that I'm actually looking at.

I don’t do it, but my sister does it a lot. It is really annoying, but she says that it helps her be more immersed.

It depends on what I'm reading. If it's just a casual read, I don't do any of that. If it's fast paced can't put it down, I move my mouth and a whisper might escape every now and then.

I do a bit of a mumble to, especially when analyzing something. I think it helps to focus all my attention on what I am reading, rather than the environment around me. What do you think?
