I also think that it is odd that this is in a Young Adult genre...maybe the author wanted to have a novel that brought up consent and second chances at love and was able to deliver it to younger audiences? Still begs the question why both characters are older then.

Excellent review! The story sounds interesting, although I agree the content doesn't seem geared toward young adults.

I think those strange interactions between father and daughter would put me off this one. Sounds like it addresses some important topics though, which is good! Thanks for the review
