I like the book. It reminded me of my little brother. He is so stubborn and does not listen anyone not even the elderly. I think this book will help me to better understand him and also find a way to help him change his behaviors. Rather then using violence to change a child's behavior, I think applying the pressure technique will help.
Thank you

Thanks for your review. I remember this author has a book about autistic children before. Looks like this one will provide useful advice about how to help kids relax and be more obedient.

Sounds like a good book for all adults, not just parents. As a former teacher, this information would have been helpful in the classroom as well.

I'm not a professional and, admittedly, had some difficulty following what the author was saying due to his phrasing, but attempting to "dig out" a different personality from within a child because the 'current' personality is troublesome does not sound healthy to me. Redirecting negative emotions toward more positive or productive ones seems like a healthier path. I don't think this book is for me. Thanks for the review.

This BOTD couldn't have come at a better time. We're trying to potty train my nephew and he is the definition of stubborn. I'm also hoping this relaxed pleasure works for adults as well!

I appreciate the fact that the author provided various stories of stubborn children that he had applied the method on and the outcome. This serves as testimonials indicating that relaxed pleasure can indeed bring positive results if used the right way.

Relaxed pleasure? I bet am not the only one curious to find out everything about it and how it affects a child's psychology. Thank you for the review, I guess this should be a handbook for most parents even those whose children are not stubborn. It doesn't hurt to know.

I'm not a parent but I have had my fair share of stubborn siblings. So, I'm curious about the concept of relaxed pleasure. Thanks for the detailed review.

I don’t always think that a stubborn child is a bad thing to have. Sure, they are difficult to deal with, but they usually turn into adults who stand up for themselves.

A nice helpful information to those with children that have stubborn characters is found in the book "Stubborn children" by Norio Ando. The book can be helpful for children who are not mindful of others will or instructions by providing them with relaxed pleasure.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This sounds like it takes the fight out of child rearing. It makes for a much better relationship between parents and children also. I wonder if it works to any degree on adults. Congratulations on BOTD!

Never had any problems of this nature while raising my own children. Then again, I was extremely lucky and mine are exceptionally well behaved kids of all my acquaintances and constant cause for envy because of it. I will have to skip this book, but anyway congrats with BOTD!
