I finished The Private Sector earlier today. I have never read a book that had so much negativity in it! It was not poorly written, just needed quite a few changes.
I need more background information!!! How did the world end up this way? How did Jenny end up being addicted to serum? Why is John avoiding his family? Why is Emma so angry?
I feel like with all that Dianne is going through, where is her emotion??? She should have been venting her anger or anxiety somehow! She has no support, her sister tried to basically kill her, she lost her painting career and her SON!!! I wanted to feel her anger over everything when she got out of the hospital, but it was really tame.
As for Junior... so sad. He kept getting pushed away so that the adults could argue. What a lonely life for a five year old. I hope he is happier with his new family.
