Sounds like a great book. I like the idea of hiding words on the page, too. Young children seem to love interacting with everything around them, even books.

This sounds like such an encouraging message to give to kids. It's so important for young children to have role models and if they're in the form of literature, even better. I also like that Toni is a non-white character so kids of color have good representation.

This is definitely a book that I will recommend to my nephews and nieces and something I would read when I had children of my own someday. I like illustrated children's book especially those that demonstrates good behavior and proper example like this one.

The reviewer gave a nice review, and I think we should appreciate that great job. At first, I thought this story could be difficult to understand by adults, but when I finished reading the summary it gave me more vim to also read and review it.

I am considering buying this book for the kids I babysit. It seems like a very positive and helpful book in many ways based on your excellent review.

Thanks for the review. I think this book is one of the most utility books I've come across in recent times. The author did an excellent job on the book and this review really justified that.

An enthusiastic and well described review for this lovely children's book. I love the illustrations. They are bright and colorful, sure to appeal to young children and will set them on the path to reading. The everyday activities and playing with other children are useful for youngsters to see and learn to recognize.

I think this book can actually help a child understand the importance of helping his mother around the house, for example.

Thanks for the review! I also read and reviewed this book and loved it! I am a kindergarten teacher so this book was right up my alley! Because of the repetitive sentences this book is a great one for teaching beginning readers. I will be buying copies for my classroom!

Wonderful review. I appreciated how thorough you were in your evaluation of the book's pragmatic qualities such as teaching young children to read and inspiring them to make positive choices. I know it can be difficult to review books for young children because they are by nature very simple. However, it would have been an additional benefit to your overall review if you had explored more of your thoughts on the story itself.
