I just remembered who wrote The Book of the Dun Cow. I believe the name is Brennan Manning.

Hi, everyone! This is my first posting...I like several genres, like westerns, sci-fi, action/adventure, and christian fiction, which I started reading just a few years ago. I really like Mel Odom's military action "Apocolypse" series, and ex-Army Ranger Jeff (Struecer ?)'s miltary books. Jeff's books seem more militarily accurate, but both authors have a sense of humor and do not have an overt, cheesy "'life lesson to learn" theme that some folks associate with "christian" fiction. Always a fan of whatever Jeff and Odom come out with.

I would recommend the Left Behind series by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. Amazing series about the book of Revelations. It's a series of twelve books and I breezed right through them.
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...

I absolutely love Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. If you're looking for more of a Christian Suspense, Kristen Heitzmann is also a very good author

Frank Peretti is the author of 21 titles, including the international bestsellers This Present Darkness, Piercing the Darkness, The Oath, The Visitation, The Cooper Kids Adventure Series, and many more. He was the first Christian writer I came across back in the days when I obsessively attended services in the 70s. I'm now completely on the opposite side of that former preoccupation with attendance, and, in fact. highly support the writings of Frank Viola and the home church movement.

From his website, "Peretti has been called “America’s hottest Christian novelist.” Though he is best known for his adrenaline-laced supernatural thrillers, Peretti has written 19 books of various sizes for differing audiences, including a best-selling children’s adventure series, and has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide."

Janette Oke has always been my favorite. She has so many to choose from too.

I have quite a few favorites, actually. When I first started reading Christian Fiction (at the age of 13), I was enthralled with Janette Oke's books. She'll always be a favorite of mine. Then I fell in love with the wonderful Amish stories by Beverly Lewis. Since then I've enjoyed books by Julie Klassen, Deeanne Gist, Irene Hannon, and several others. :)

I really like Karen Kingsbury. I also like a multitude of authors who write in the Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense series.
