Reading this book is now almost a must, being that it takes place so close to home. I have to wonder what other places Olive and Henry will travel through that I might be familiar with. Thanks for the recommendation!
Wow! I am happy to learn that you live close to Lafayette. I found the dialect fascinating, I must say! It made the book unique. Thank you for very much for finding time to read and comment.

This sounds like a beautiful story that was so well written it will have readers gripped by the emotions felt be the characters. I am intrigued to know why the town hates Olive's family, and whether or not Olive and Henry make it out in the world on their own. Thanks for the review.

I’m intrigued from the title alone. The plot, too, sounds promising and seems to have a wonderful message. Great review!

Growing up with the mindset that your mother hates you is a problem that will hamper the growth of the individual. Good book here.

Women and child abuse are rife these days; the encouragement by the author for victims to speak out is commended. The story reminds me of a dear old friend of mine who is as loyal as Henry is to Olive. We all need friends like these. Splendid review!
