While I am not supportive of drugs in most cases, I would guess that in this case, it's used more as a traditional practice. I am all for using the mysteries of ancient civilizations for a story. Good characters are definitely a big plus too.

I loved reading Dan Brown's books so I'm pretty sure I will enjoy reading this book, Lost Secret of the Ancient Ones by Chris Reynolds, it is the first book in the series The Manna Chronicles. I love reading books on religion, history, science and mystery so this was put on my 'to read' list.
