Agree - feel the same and doing the same, although I also have, during the course of my masters degree, written 40-50 short stories which, although never published were exhibited as part of 'artist books' in different gallery shows - and of course the many essays and major written piece that is par for the course!

For those on the forum who have laboured to complete and - for many - publish their writings, I have the utmost admiration. It is a wonderful, but consuming passion to write - never stop! :)

I wrote small things few years ago but now I don't have time for that. But I hope to get back to that.

We are still thinking of "real writers" as writing "real books" (made of paper.) But some blogs are already read as much as any "best seller."

Just started writing seriously this year, and the muse is visiting quite regularly at the moment. I'm loving it.

I write as a hobbie. In fact, I'm writing three stories right now.
I really never thought of using it as my job so I guess I'm not an oficial writer, although I enjoy it a lot and it's my way to express myself :D

by the way: I'm new here so, There is any place in this forum where I can show you some of my work??

Unfortunately, except for some articles I didn't write anything else, but I think it would be a nice hobby, when I will have more free time. I am not a writer...

I write poetry a lot, usually short. It's my way of getting my feelings out and rereading my writing to get a sense of if I'm being too hard on myself on something, if I'm being too immature, etc. I'm hoping to be a sports writer for my college's newspaper. Any form of writing for me is entertaining.

I love to write just about anything: short stories, novelettes, poetry. Only problem is that I'm not very good at any of them! I've never published, but I have entered into one competition (no results yet).

I have written a diary all my life...

Aside from that I have had a chapter in a book published, but nothing more.

I've been writing since I was little. It's been a great passion of my life for a very long time and I'm proud to say that I am now a published author. My dark fantasy e-books Demon Hunter and Demon Hunter 2: Seek & Destroy were nominated for best series 2009.
I also have a paranormal thriller coming out in paperback this November titled Life, Death, and Back.
Very exciting for me. I love creating different worlds and characters.

This is great to read that so many people have ventured into writing and many have even gotten their names in author's list. Its weird that I never considered writing, even for pleasure, but after reading all these magnificent views I am definitely thinking to get a pen and a paper out and give words to my thoughts. I think I will like it..
