Too bad about the editing but this looks like a really good story. Great review!

Great review! It sounds like a sweet story. Too bad about the editing mistakes, that can really take away from a book.

The review was a very good one. I am adding this book on my to be read list. I like to read stories about how abused women resolve their issues along with help from others. Congrats to the author on BOTD. I hope the errors in this book are fixed to help reading this book on the importance of helping abused and battered!

For the first time in my life, i felt very sad after reading a book. How can Tom be so heartless. The very first chapter can easily team a man to try and love his partner. i felt that such things must not happen to me and my wife. I found myself blaming myself for something i don't know. Weeell, what an effort from the author. Great!!

sounds like a good book to read, me being a first timer and all. something with a touch of the spiritual sounds like a good read to me, if for nothing more than to see how reality and the bible intertwines... my opinion though.

Well, as far as the story goes, I can relate. The author does a good job at painting pictures of the characters and situations, but the editor leaves a LOT to be desired. The poor editing was very distracting due to so many grammatical and some spelling errors. Pretty much every book I've ever read tends to have one or two minor slips, usually spelling, that are easily dismissed. But this story, unfortunately, has too many (and in just those first two chapters alone!) which is quite disappointing. I am one of those people that many consider "grammar police" and my eyes and brain do not overlook spelling, punctuation and grammar mistakes, especially when they are many. Praises for the author and the story, but to the editor: What the heck happened?

This book is lovely to read. It is captivating, however errors are evident from the beginning of the book. Example: states is stated. And grammatical errors are within the story itself which can throw off your reading. This book needs to be reedited.

Nice review! The story sounds interesting. Not sure if it's really my thing though. The whole religion thing really doesn't appeal to me to be honest.

Not a book that I would enjoy, as it's not my type of fiction and sounds way too sad. I have enough of that in reality; fiction is my escape.

I noticed the errors when I read the sample too - but hopefully the reading the book will be a better experience after they're fixed.

Fantastic review thanks for the heads up on the grammar errors. I loved how you brought out that emotional abuse can break your spirit severely and for longer time than physical abuse.I know that is paraphrased and you said it way better.
This is not a book I would read since it would bring back to many memories of my abuse. I do like to hear of others breaking free from abuse and finding safety and love again as I have.
I also noticed the mistakes in the sample and agree more editing is needed.

Thank you for the review. I did notice some of the errors you mentioned in the sample, actually. I could see this book being a very emotional read.
