We have all had family members who have suffered a lot throughout history. So did the author's ancestors. She decides to write a book to shed light on the troubles her ancestors went through. Congratulations on the BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

"Near the Danube Bridge" by Catherine Allen-Walters is a book that begins with the story of Kalman. Kalman was born in 1930 to an Evangelical father and a Seventh-Day Adventist mother. Later the story spreads to the rest of Europe and North America. In the book, Kalman is the embodiment of strength of character and determination regardless of the circumstances.

Great review! The way Near the Danube Bridge weaves personal stories with historical events sounds captivating. Kalman Hartig’s unwavering faith and the depiction of his struggles during such tumultuous times seem both heart-wrenching and inspiring. The book’s structure and added elements like photos and letters must make it a deeply immersive read.

The review is in-depth and expressive in the details of the book. A biography that contains part of the history of a long time ago and the difficulty of facing those challenges. Tracing several generations of the lives of two families is a difficult task that deserves appreciation. Congrats on BOTD

"Near the Danube Bridge" by Catherine Allen-Walters is a story that discusses Kalman's difficult choice between his mother's faith - Seventh Day Adventist and his father's faith - evangelical. Despite his imprisonment and persecution by the authorities, Kalman upheld his faith, a clear demonstration of resilience. This book has a rich gallery of photos that clearly illustrates the author's message.

Congrats on BOTD! Ms. Allen-Walters writes fantastic faith-based narratives for readers. Although the book begins with some horrific reality depicting a terrible period in human history, this is still a story that needs to be shared.

Prosecution for religious beliefs isn't something new in human history, unfortunately. I am glad Catherine was able to capture this, as well as the hardships of families during WW2. Thanks for the review!

Believers, Religion and faith have always been a sensitive subject currently and then think the aspect that impresses me the most is the author's unwavering faith that the author even got tortured for it. The author really shows resilience and that's not what many can do. Thanks for the information review and this seems like a must read for me. Biographies with history are something worth learning from looking forward to reading this novel.
